Computing Curriculum
At Hazel Slade, our Computing curriculum helps pupils to understand how technology works and how it is used in the world around them. As an iPad school, all children from Year 1 upwards have access to their own 1:1 iPad, which supports learning across the curriculum and enables them to use technology confidently and creatively every day.
Children develop skills in programming, digital literacy, and information technology, building confidence in using a wide range of digital tools effectively.
Online safety is a key part of our Computing teaching. Pupils learn how to stay safe online, use technology responsibly, and make informed choices about their digital behaviour. We aim to develop confident, capable and responsible digital citizens who are prepared for life in an increasingly digital world.
